The Acer Aspire 721 is now up for pre-order from Amazon for $430 plus free shipping. The Aspire 721 is one of the first ultraportable laptops to feature a new AMD Nile processor.

The Aspire 721 has an 11.6 inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7GHz AMD Athlon II Neo K125 single core processor and ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics with 384MB of dedicated video memory. Other specifications include up to 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and a 6 cell battery rated at 4400mAh."acer aspire 721"

The Acer Aspire 721 runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Since this is one of the first laptops to have an AMD Neo K125 processor, it is not clear whether this machine will be able to beat Intel CULV-powered notebooks in the performance or battery life department. But one thing is certain. At just $430, the Aspire 721 is cheaper than most ultraportables on the market. In fact, it costs just a little more than a typical netbook. What’s more it has an HD display, better performance graphics and a fully functional operating system.
