Acer Officially Unveils TimelineX 1830T
Acer has officially unveiled its TimelineX 1830T thin and light laptop. This notebook was rumored to have a Core i5 processor, but the official product says that it is powered by a Core 2 Solo processor. If the processor is indeed a Core 2 Solo, there is nothing much to differentiate this machine from the Aspire 1410/1810 notebooks currently available on the market.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Solo
Graphics: Intel HD graphics with 128MB dedicated memory and DirectX 10 support
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows Vista Home Premium,
Memory: Up to 2GB of DDR3 RAM (Expandable to 4GB of DDR2 or DDR3 memory)
Storage: SATA hard drive
The supported connectivity options include WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Ethernet, Bluetooth (optional) and 3G modem (optional). There are 3 USB ports, a 5-in-1 card reader, HDMI, VGA, webcam, headphone and mic jacks. The notebook will ship with a 6-cell battery rated at 5800mAh.
The Acer TimelineX 1830T weighs 3.1 pounds and measures 1.1 inch in thickness. It is available in black, brown, red or silver. No word on pricing or availability at the moment.
