Asus Eee PC 1201PN product page goes live
The Asus Eee PC 1201PN product page has gone live. The 12 inch notebook has also started showing up at additional retailers.
The Eee PC 1201PN has a 12.1 inch HD display with 1366 x 768 pixels. It is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor and NVIDIA ION 2 graphics. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Other features include 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, VGA and HDMI output. The notebook comes standard with a 6-cell, 47Whr battery.
The ION graphics will give the machine enough power to handle 1080p HD video. You will also be able to play some 3D video games. That said, don’t expect this machine to deliver lightning fast performance. The Eee PC 1201PN has an Atom N450 processor which is designed to get good battery life, and not snappy performance. So for most tasks, the notebook won’t feel any faster than a typical netbook.
The Eee PC 1201PN is now up for order. Prices start at $499.

Where is this going on sale? I’m looking around (amazon, newegg, etc), and I don’t see it in actual stores.
