The Asus Eee PC T101MT touchscreen tablet hasn’t started shipping yet, but the folks at All Touch Tablet have managed to get a review unit from Asus. And they have posted a short review.ASUS-T101MT

The Eee PC T101MT is a 10 inch tablet-style netbook from Asus. It is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 Pine Trail processor and Intel GMA 3150 graphics. The netbook runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Other specifications include 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and WiFi 802.11b/g/n.

The reviewers are happy that Asus dropped the slower Atom Z520 processor used in its 9 inch Eee PC T91MT. Still they aren’t very impressed with the performance. In their own words ‘the computer feels rather sluggish’. But it is not clear whether the T101MT is slower than other Atom powered netbooks.

As for the build quality, well, it appears to be satisfactory. On the flip side, the hard drive is a little noisy. The touchscreen also doesn’t work well near the edge of the display – but this could be a problem with the defective screen on the demo unit.
