Clover Systems has launched a new 10 inch netbook. What sets this netbook apart from the rest is its Pixel Qi low power transflective display. Aside from the low power display, the Clover SunBook has regular netbook specs including a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. The 10.1 inch display has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

The SunBook runs Windows 7 Starter Edition. It offers both 3G and 4G options and has a battery which will reportedly get 8 to 12 hours of run time.

In this mode, it is sunlight-readable and consumes much less power. Unfortunately, the Pixel Qi panel is costlier than a regular LCD panel.

The SunBook, for instance, starts at $795. But if you are really keen buying a netbook with a Pixel Qi display, the truth is that you don’t have another option right now.

Coby has a habit of showing off numerous netbooks at CES but this time around the company had just one model on display. That said, the Coby NBPC1029 is an attractive little machine with a nice angular design.
The NBPC1029 has regular netbook specs including a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixels display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a 0.3 megapixel webcam and WiFi 802.11b/g. It runs Windows 7 Starter Edition and comes with a 3-cell, 2200mAh battery.

The keyboard has nice wide keys. The touchpad has an attractive chrome edge, but the buttons are a bit stiff. No word on pricing at the moment, but Coby does have a product page for the NBPC1029 on its website.

The folks at Jolicloud have released the official press shots of their upcoming Jolibook netbook. The most distiguishing feature of the netbook is its bright colorful lid with a custom design. It is not clear whether all units will ship with the same design on the lid.

Aside from the colorful lid and the OS, the netbook has regular specs. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor. Other specifications include a 250GB hard drive, 3 USB ports, Ethernet, VGA and a 10 inch display of unknown resolution.

The Jolibook appears to have a 6 cell battery, which juts out of its back. There is still no word on the screen resolution, RAM or battery life. The Jolibook runs Jolicloud 1.1 operating system. But since the laptop has an x86 processor it will be able to run pretty much every operating system available at the moment.
