The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is now available with an optional Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator. The Broadcom HD accelerator enables HD playback on Atom powered netbooks. This announcement follows the launch of Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta 3 which supports Broadcom accelerator. The Broadcom Video Accelerator is not available with the base model of Inspiron Mini 10 which starts at $279. To get the accelerator you need to select Dell’s ‘Performance Plus’ package which starts at $409. Besides the HD accelerator, the ‘Performance Plus’ package will get you a 10.1 inch HD display with 1366 x 768 pixels, 6-cell battery and 250GB hard drive.

At $409, the Dell Mini 10 is the cheapest HD-capable netbook on the market. The other model the HP Mini 311 with NVIDIA ION has an 11.6 inch display. It starts at $399.
