Gigabyte uploaded and then quickly removed the product page for its upcoming convertible netbook called T1000. The Gigabyte T1000 will be powered by an Intel Atom N450 or N470 processor. Intel hasn’t officially released the Atom N470 processor yet. But companies, nevertheless, release product pages mentioning this processor and then often quickly pull them down.

The Gigabyte T1000 looks like an updated version of the Gigabyte T1028X TouchNote convertible netbook. It features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with 1366 x 768 pixels. The netbook can be used in the tablet mode by folding the display down over the keyboard.
Other specifications include 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, GMA 3150 graphics, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Ethernet. There are 2 USB ports and one eSATA/USB combo port. There is also a Flash card reader and an Express Card slot.

Both 4-cell and 6-cell battery options will be available. The model with the 4-cell battery will apparently be called T1000X, whereas the 6-cell model will be dubbed T1000P.

No word on pricing, but don’t expect this netbook to come cheap. After all, Gigabyte is not known for making cheap convertible tablets.
