The Gigabyte T1000P which was introduced a couple of months ago is now available for pre-order from Amazon for $699 plus shipping. At that price, this machine certainly isn’t cheap.

The Gigabyte T1000P is a convertible tablet style netbook. It has a 10.1 inch touchscreen display that can be folded down over the keyboard for using the device in the tablet mode. The netbook is powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N470 processor with 1GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. It runs Windows 7 Starter Edition. The 10.1 inch display has 1366 x 768 pixels.

Aside from the HD display and a relatively faster Atom N470 processor, the Gigabyte T1000P has got more or less the same specs as the Asus Eee PC T101MT which sells for about $500. But if HD display is your thing, you will certainly find this machine a better option than the Eee PC T101MT.

The Gigabyte T1000P is expected to start shipping on July 1st.
