Chinese PC maker HiVision showed off a dirt cheap7 inch Android tablet at CeBIT this week. This machine is unlikely to be sold in the US. Still it deserves its time in the sun.
The tablet could sell for as little as $100 in China. It is not clear whether this machine will be picked up by a western distributor.
The HiVision tablet runs Google Android. It has a 7 inch resistive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by an 800MHz ARM11-based processor. Other specifications include 2GB of storage, 256MB of RAM, WiFi 802.11b/g/n. You may add Bluetooth, 3G and GPS through USB peripherals. The battery is rated at 4200mAh. It should power the device for upto 6 hours.

It isn’t going to be a performance machine. But I guess there is still a market for cheap laptops. Maybe you can use it as a kid’s computer.
