HP has finally started selling its much-anticipated DM1z in the US. The ultraportable notebook has an 11.6 inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels. It is powered by an AMD Neo processor and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. The base configuration ships with 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. Prices start at $450. Higher end configurations with up to 5GB of RAM and up to 500GB HDD or a 128GB SSD are also possible.

The HP DM1z is capable of full HD playback. It comes standard with a 6-cell battery which will reportedly power the laptop for up to 5 hours.
