HP Mini 5103 now available in the US for $399 and up
The HP Mini 5103 business netbook is now available for purchase in the US. Prices start at $399.
The HP Mini 5103 is a 10.1 inch netbook powered by your choice of a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 or a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N475 processor. The base model has a standard display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. An HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and a capacitive multitouch display are also available as configuration options.
Other specifications include GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 2GB of DDR3 memory, up to 320GB of hard disk space or up to 128GB solid state drive storage, and optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for 720p and 1080p HD video playback.
The netbook can run Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Starter or SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 OS. Both 4-cell and 6-cell battery options are available.
The HP Mini 5103 also a 2 megapixel webcam, stereo speakers, microphones, WiFi 802.11n, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, 3 USB ports, a HP Mobile Broadband powered by Gobi with GPS, a spill resistant keyboard, VGA output and a detachable handle (optional).
The netbook weighs 2.64 pounds with the standard display and 2.86 pounds with the touchscreen display. It features magnesium alloy chassis. It is now available for purchase from HP’s online store.
