Lenovo is the latest to jump on to the 3D laptop bandwagon. The company has just confirmed the existence of its 15.6 inch IdeaPad Y560d 3D laptop.

Instead of NVIDIA’s much acclaimed 3D vision it uses TriDef’s 3d technology. This is the same technology used by the Acer Aspire 5738DG. The TriDef’s 3D technology uses a specially coated screen, software and polarizing glasses to convert 2D content to 3D. unfortunately, TriDef doesn’t support 3D Blu-ray content.

The IdeaPad Y560d will be available with processors ranging between Intel Core i3 and Core i7, an ATI Radeon HD5720 GPU, and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. The notebook will reportedly also feature Lenovo’s RapidDrive technology which combines a traditional hard drive and an SSD for faster boot times.

Pricing and availability
The Lenovo IdeaPad Y560d will not be available until the end of this month. It will have a starting price of $1,200.
