"lenovo ideapad y560d"The IdeaPad Y560d, Lenovo’s first 3D laptop, has gone on sale at the company’s webstore. The notebook is priced at $1,399.

The IdeaPad Y560d has a 15.6 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 1.6GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 graphics with 1GB of dedicated video memory. It uses the TriDef 3D software for converting 2D images into 3D. The notebook runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Other specifications include 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB, 5,400rpm hard drive, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a DVD burner.

There are 3 USB ports, 1 eSATA/USB combo port, ExpressCard slot, VGA and HDMI outputs. Graphics can be switched between the discrete ATI GPU and the integrated Intel HD chipset. Lenovo claims that you will get around 5 hours of battery life if you make judicious use of the graphics.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y560d will start shipping within five days. It is priced at $1,399.
