NEC LaVie Light Netbook Gets WiMAX and Atom N470 Processor
The NEC LaVie Light netbook has been updated with a slightly faster processor, more storage, more RAM, built-in WiMAX module and a high capacity SDXC flash card slot.
According to sources the LaVie Light netbook is now available with an Intel Atom N470 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive. It is likely to ship with Windows 7 Home Premium because Microsoft doesn’t allow PC vendors to install Windows 7 Starter Edition on netbooks having over 1GB of RAM or over 250GB of storage.
The NEC LaVie Light netbook is now available in Japan for the equivalent of $761US. It is unlikely to be available in the US anytime soon.
