Panasonic Unveils Toughbook H1 Field Rugged Tablet PC
Panasonic has unveiled a rugged tablet PC called Toughbook H1 Field. The device is targeted at field professionals such as inspectors, first responders and salesmen. This study handheld PC offers the full functionality of a tablet. 
Toughbook H1 Field sports a magnesium alloy chassis. It is encased in polycarbonate. It has received MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certifications which mean that it can survive six-foot drops, all weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

Other features include Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 +ERD, Optional Qualcomm Gobi 3G, GPS, 2MP webcam. The notebook ships with 2 swappable batteries. Expected battery life is 6 hours. Optional features include a 2D/1D barcode reader, an RFID reader, optional fingerprint and SmartCard readers.
