Haleron Launches its iLet Mini Touchscreen Tablet
Apple iPad may not be the most functional tablet to hit the market, but one has got to agree that it is hogging all the limelight. Clearly, coming from the illustrious Apple stable does have its advantages. But Apple isn’t the only player in the tablet market. Dozens of other companies are also building touch-screen tablets and at least a few of these machines will ship within the next few months. Haleron, for instance, has gone ahead and launched its tablet. The device called iLet Mini has a 7 inch touch-screen display.
The Haleron iLet Mini is not a powerful device. To be fair, it isn’t pricey either – you can pick up one for just $149. The tablet has a 300MHz ARM-based processor, 128MB of RAM and 2GB of flash storage. There is an SDHC card for extending the storage to up to 16GB. The 7 inch display features 800 x 480 pixels. The tablet can run either Windows CE 6.0 or Linux.
Haleron claims that the 220mAh battery will provide 4 to 6 hours of uptime on a single charge. A higher capacity 330mAh battery is also available and it will, reportedly, power the tablet for 8 to 10 hours. Other notable features include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth (optional).
