Panasonic releases Toughbook 31 and 19 in Japan
Panasonic has released two new Toughbook laptops at once. The new Toughbook 31 has a 13.1 inch display whereas the Toughbook 19 sports a 10.4 inch display. Both models have a 160GB hard drive, up to 6GB of DDR3 SDRAM, Intel QM57 Express chipset, and 1024 x 768 resolution displays.
The Toughbook 31 and 19 run Windows 7 Professional. While the Toughbook 31 is powered by a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 CPU, the 19 has got a 1.2 GHz processor. Other specs that are common to both models include Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, an HDMI slot, four USB ports, and an SD card slot. The notebooks are drop resistant; they are also dust and waterproof.
The Toughbook 31 and 19 will start shipping in Japan in mid-September. No word on pricing at the moment.
