Samsung Q530, Q430 and Q330 notebooks to hit UK this month
The Samsung Q530, Q430 and Q330 notebooks are expected to be available in the UK this month. Samsung also confirmed that the notebooks are heading to international markets as well.
Of the three models, the Samsung Q530 has got the best specs. It has a 15.6 inch LED backlit display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. It can be configured with Intel’s Core i3 and i5 processors. You also get the GeForce GT330M discrete graphics with 1GB of dedicated DDR3 video memory. Other features include WiFi, DLNA, Bluetooth 3.0, built-in webcam, USB ports, memory card reader, optical drive and HDMI ports. The notebook also features Samsung’s Extended Battery Life mechanism which will reportedly prolong the battery life to 7 hours. Not bad for a 15.6 inch desktop replacement laptop.
The Samsung Q430 has more or less the specs as the Q530, but it features a smaller 14 inch display and weighs only 2.09kg. This machine is aimed at mobile professionals whose main concern is portability.
The Samsung Q330 has a 13.3 inch display. It weighs 1.97kg. It is also powered by Intel’s Core Series processors and NVIDIA GeForce 310M discrete graphics. The notebook features the NVIDIA Optimus technology for automatically switching between the integrated and discrete graphics options.
All models in the new Samsung Q series are DLNA certified which means that they can seamlessly connect with other DLNA certified cameras or smartphones. No word on pricing at the moment.
