Sony is not known for building low-cost laptops. Even the company’s VAIO W netbooks are far more expensive than their competitors sporting similar hardware. And now Sony is back with yet another machine worth the premium.

The company has just announced a limited edition VAIO W netbook. The netbook is designed by Sony in partnership with Billabong and its biggest selling point is the Imperial Lime lid."sony vaio w limited edition"

The Sony Vaio W Limited Edition netbooks are expected to start shipping in Australia next month. The machines are powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor with 2GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. They sport a 10.1 inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels. Other features include Ethernet jack, 2 USB 2.0 ports and integrated webcam. And the price? Well, it starts at AU$749 ($619).
