Sony Set To Launch Budget Friendly Vaio M Netbooks
Sony is all set to launch a budget-friendly line of netbooks dubbed Vaio M. In looks the Sony Vaio M will not be much different from the Vaio W, but this model has a lower resolution display with 1024 x 600 pixels. The Vaio W netbooks have an HD display with 1366 x 768 pixels.

The Sony Vaio M netbooks will be powered by Intel Atom N450 processor with GMA 3150 integrated graphics. Up to 1GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive are available. Other specifications include WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth. No word on pricing or availability.
Sony’s netbooks have always been in a class of their own. The company’s first mini-laptop had an 8.9 inch display with an awfully high 1600 x 768 pixels. This machine also sported a high price point of nearly $1000. The company’s next offering was the Sony Vaio W which started at $500. While this laptop was relatively affordable it was still pricey for a 10 inch netbook.
