The Fujitsu LifeBook T730 has made its debut. The notebook was spotted at FCC back in April. It sports a 12.1 inch WXGA convertible touchscreen display that can be folded down over the keyboard for use in the tablet mode.

The Fujitsu LifeBook T730 is available with your choice of a Core i5-520M, i5-540M or Core i7-620M processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and integrated Intel HD graphics. The notebook comes standard with an active digitizer which can be used with a special stylus. Alternatively you can opt for a dual-mode panel that accepts both stylus and multitouch finger inputs.

Other specifications include up to 500GB HDD or 256GB SSD, Intel WiFi a/g/n or Atheros b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, VGA, HDMI, Ethernet, FireWire, SD card reader, ExpressCard 54 and audio in/out. There are 3 USB 2.0 ports.

The LifeBook T730 will get around 5.5 hours of runtime with the 5,200mAh battery. By pairing it with an expansion battery you will be able to get over 9 hours of battery life.

The Core i5-520M configuration with 2GB of RAM and the basic active digitizer costs $1,869. The top-of-the-line model with a Core i7-620M processor will cost you an extra $150. At that price this machine is certainly pricier than most 12 inch notebooks on the market. But when did Fujitsu make an affordable laptop?
