The Samsung NF310 has impressive specifications for a netbook. It has a dual core 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor and a 10 inch HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The mini-laptop also has 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. The NF310 ships with integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics instead of the NVIDIA graphics it was rumored to have.

The most remarkable feature of the laptop is its unique design. some folks may not like that curvy design with wavy edges, but it does make the laptop look special. The touchpad has a nice texture and shows good sensitivity. There is only one touchpad button, but it has a clear marker in the middle. The speakers produce nice loud audio and the HD display is good too.

The Samsung NF310 is now available from Amazon for $399.

The Samsung NF310 dual core netbook has started shipping in the US. The NF310 is a 10 inch netbook powered by a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor. Both Amazon and TigerDirect now offer the laptop for $399.

The Samsung NF310 has the same case design as the NF210, but while the NF210 is a Sam’s Club exclusive in the US, the NF310 will be available from several retailers. At $399, the NF310 might seem a bit pricey, but for that price you will get a dual core processor and an HD display which aren’t usually found in cheap netbooks. The NF310 also has 1GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard drive, and a 6-cell battery. It runs Windows 7 Starter Edition.

The netbook doesn’t have a discrete graphics option, but Samsung and Intel claim that it will be able to handle local playback of 720p HD videos, thanks to its dual core processor. Anything beyond 720p may be hit or miss at best.

Samsung has officially launched its NF310 in the US. The laptop has the same case design as the Samsung NF210, but it has got better specs.

The Samsung NF310 is powered by a dual core 1.5GHz Atom N550 processor. It has a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Other specifications include 1GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Intel Integrated graphics.

The NF310 runs Windows 7 Starter Edition and come standard with a 6-cell battery which will reportedly get around 9 hours of run time.

Pricing and availability
The Samsung NF310 is expected to be available this fall in the US. It will retail for $399.

Asus Eee PC 1005PR with HD Display and HD Video Accelerator Up for Pre-order

The Asus Eee PC 1005PR has exactly the same looks as the Eee PC 1005PE. But while the 1005PE has a regular display with 1024 x 600 pixels, the 1005PR has an HD display with 1366 x 768 pixels. What is more, the Eee PC 1005PR comes pre-loaded with a built-in Broadcom HD video accelerator which will give it enough power to handle HD video playback.

The Eee PC 1005PR was unveiled in early March. The netbook is now available for pre-order from Amazon and B&H. Both retailers sell the machine for about $400.

Asus has uploaded the official product page of its Eee PC 1005PR. The 1005PR is the first 10 inch Asus netbook to sport an HD display with 1366 x 768 pixels. The detailed specifications are as follows:

Processor: 1.66 GHz Intel Atom Pine Trail N450 CPU
Operating System: Windows 7 Starter Edition

Storage: 250GB Hard drive (plus 500GB Asus WebStorage)

Other features include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and Ethernet. There are 3 USB ports, an SDHC card slot, VGA output, headphone and mic jacks. The netbook ships with a 6-cell battery which is available in two models – 48Whr and 63Whr.

In looks the Eee PC 1005PR isn’t much different from the Eee PC 1005PE. In fact, the only major differences between the two models are the HD display and Broadcom Crystal HD Video Accelerator found on 1005PR.

No word on pricing yet, but the netbook is expected to start shipping in April.
