Toshiba Satellite E205: The First Notebook with WiDi
Toshiba’s Satellite E205 seems to be first notebook to feature Intel’s just announced Wireless Display technology. The Satellite E205 looks refreshingly different from other Toshiba offerings. The notebook is available exclusively through Best Buy as part of the retailers Blue Label 2.0 program. It is said that Toshiba designed this notebook in accordance with the feedback given by Best Buy customers.
The Satellite E205 is equipped with a 14 inch LED backlit display. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-430 processor. Up to 320GB of hard drive space is available. The most impressive feature, however, is the Wireless Display technology or WiDi which would let you wirelessly stream videos from your notebook to your HDTV.
Other notable features include LED backlit keyboard, slot-loading DVD drive and sleep and charge USB ports. The touchpad supports multi-touch gestures. The battery is expected to last for six hours on a single charge. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth v2.1.
The Toshiba Satellite E205 is available in Metallic Blue with Toshiba’s Fusion finish. It carries a price tag of $999.99.
