The Viliv S10 Blade convertible tablet is now up for order in the US. It will be made available through Dynamism. Prices start at $699.
VILIV S10 Blade
The Viliv S10 Blade is a convertible tablet with a 10.1 inch HD display that can be folded down over the keyboard for using the device in the tablet mode. The base model has an Intel Atom Z530 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 60GB hard drive. It runs Windows XP. Better configurations with a 2GHz Intel Atom Z550 processor, Windows XP Home Premium, 3G and 32GB/64GB Solid State Drives are also available. The battery will reportedly power the laptop for 10 hours on a single charge.

At $699, the Viliv S10 isn’t very cheap. In fact, convertible tablets with similar or better specs are available for less. The Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t, for instance, can be picked up for $549 or less. But the S10 Blade promises to offer better battery life than its competitors. Another plus point is its really attractive design. After all, the biggest selling point of netbooks has always been their design.
