X2, a UK based company, has launched a web tablet called, well, iTablet. If that name sounds any familiar it is because iTablet was one of the rumored names of the Apple tablet. Apple eventually went for the name iPad. And X2 didn’t lose the opportunity. The company went ahead and launched a rival tablet by that exact same name. However, it still needs to be seen whether this tablet will actually rival the Apple tablet.itablet

The X2 iTablet sports an unnamed 1.6GHz processor and 250GB hard drive. The graphics department will be headed by a NVIDIA ION GPU or Broadcom Crystal HD Video Accelerator. There are 3 USB ports. Other features include a 1.3MP webcam, HDMI output and 3G. The tablet will run Windows 7. Two models will be available – one with a 10.2 inch display and the other with a 12.1 inch display.

Pricing and availability
No word on pricing, but the iTablet is expected to hit the market by the end of April.
